I was born in a small village near Norwich, in England – and exposed to video production at a young age. My first creations were as a child, with a small point-and-shoot Olympus camera. I’d record videos that I’d show my family, of my scooter, how-to videos, and general obscure monologues.
A turning point in my experience was when I was introduced to stop motion at nine years old. I used a free program on a laptop, and a webcam to create videos of plasticine people I’d built. They’d mostly be fighting each other with kitchen utensils.
I picked up new skills very quickly and new equipment allowed me to explore the full breadth of my creativity.
